A mistake is made on a reassignment or title, the following is the approved correction process:
A mistake in name, address, etc.;
Line through the incorrect information, then
Insert the correct information
Attach an Affidavit of Correction*
A mistake with the odometer reading;
X out the entire assignment or reassignment section
Complete the next section (add a VAD 20 if all sections on the title are filled), then
Attach an Affidavit of Correction*
