“Don’t count the days, make the days count.” - Muhammad Ali

This is certainly the idea we need to keep in mind for our
upcoming auction membership drives. We
need to make these days count. It is up to all of us to step up to the plate
and work these drives however possible.
If it is taking a couple of hours to help sign new dealers at the
auctions, to making sure that we as well as our fellow dealers stop by our
tables to renew membership. We all can take a moment to make this year’s drives
a huge success.
Our last year’s results from auction drives signed 26
renewals and 19 new dealers for a total of 45 signed up with VIADA. Manheim Fredericksburg Auto Auction is at the
top of the list by having signed 11 total and tied for
2nd place is East Tennessee Auto Auction and Roanoke Auto Auction
with both signing 7 total. I felt that
it was important for you to know the numbers so we can work from those totals
this year.
It has been an unusual winter with record amounts of snow
hitting almost every part of the state and many of you have had to shut down
your businesses for a number of days due to the weather. We are also coming to
the end of tax season which has possibly kept you from attending your auctions,
so now is the prime time and opportunity to get out and help promote our
membership. Each drive gives great
incentives to sign up. Large cash prizes
and great gifts such as Dale Klee Prints, Tom-Tom’s, IPods and gas grills were given away last year, so I know
this year’s drives will be full of fantastic prizes as well. But the best
incentive of all is the limitless amount of benefits you get from joining the
VIADA.
We the members are
the best form of advertising there is. We all have used these benefits and
education that our association provides so we are making a “call to arms” for
our members to attend our drives and help our association reach record numbers
this year.
See you at the auction drives!
