President Don Boucher introduced Carfax’s Hampton Roads representative, sponsor of the
meeting, to discuss their company’s product and how it benefits the dealers
when selling vehicles. She was asked a
myriad of questions pertaining to the data in the reports and how it is
sometimes not user friendly.
A further discussion regarding the MAPP program and its
implementation process brought forward many comments. The solution to the problem of insufficient
advertising to the military pointed to a lack of funding. A board is being created to look into this
issue and perhaps result in contributions from the MAPP participants to build
the program with dealers who meet certain criteria.
New members welcomed into the association included AFLAC,
Barefoot Motors, Chesapeake RV Solutions, Dave Liston’s
Auto Outlet, GR’s Cars, McPhillips,
Roberts & Deane PLC, Professional Auto Sales, Ride-Away, S & S Towing,
Tidewater Trading Post, Title Tec, and Virginia Beach AutoSports.
Certificates were presented to Cindy Perkins, Joe Falk, Don
Boucher, and Ken Strauss for sponsoring new members.
